Deluge The Tempest Series TD Cloud AmbiSun Books

A Solstice broken. A lover more lost than ever. King Ruari of the Seelie Court is faced with the seemingly insurmountable challenge of balancing his duty with his happiness, and the stakes have never been higher. With Corbet now holding the Unseelie throne and acting as cold as ice, the struggle to keep the barrier standing becomes all the more challenging when Ruari notices a change in his once-lover setting in, threatening to take Corbet to a place where not even Ruari could follow. This time, the enemy may be of Ruari's own making.

If Brontide was the appetizer then this would definitely be somewhat of an entree. Deluge is packed with more bits of lore of the world and getting more in-depth with characters all around. You get to know much more about them and who they were and what they've become. There isn't much I can say without having my review laden with spoilers, but this book is much more suspenseful than the last one. It gets deeper into the kind of dark side of the Fae world and things the characters have done in the past or other. Deluge is a much more sorrowful and even frightening edition to the Tempest series, this time written from Ruari's POV. There are some heartwarming romantic scenes as well as heart-wrenching romantic scenes, but ultimately if you liked the twist, turns, and political intrigue of the last book the most then this one will surely be of your tastes.Product details

Deluge The Tempest Series TD Cloud AmbiSun Books Reviews
Thrilling. I loved it even more than the last. I do fear, however, that things will turn tragic with each new installment.
Great read!!!!! And a wonderful sequel to the first book Brontide! Couldn’t put it down!
A beautiful and painful (in the best way) continuation of the first. Few books have made me as interested in the setting and minor characters as this one.
Deluge was exactly the type of angst I had been expecting since the end of Brontide and I really enjoyed it. It's a very fresh emotional shift from the previous book, and getting to look at the story from Ruari's eyes and see first hand the depth of his feelings is a real treat. Excited for the next book. <3
Book Two of the Tempest series is every bit as fantastic as Book One! The events of Brontide are strongly felt here as we get a deeper look into the Winter Court; it's a very rewarding read as a sequel. We get a lot more of Ruari's point of view this time, and it's just as much of a page-turner as the first book. The characters are wonderful as always, be they hero or villain or something in between. An incredibly immersive world has been built here, and I'm loving every page of it!
Brontide's continuation leaves no room for disappointment. Compared to the first novel, this one takes on a much different tone, using melancholy and long-term inner and outer conflicts alike to deeply develop the characters introduced in Brontide. It offers a new perspective on the story by portraying the situation from the eyes of our tragically lovestruck Ruari, allowing the audience to experience the story in an entirely new way. If you enjoyed the twist at the end of Brontide you'll be struck just as hard by this one, maybe even a bit more. The ending offers a satisfying closure while still leaving questions to be answered in the third installment of the series. The character of Roisin is a big plus too; in my opinion, they are easily one of the best characters in the series.
I really loved it, and had been eagerly awaiting this sequel. It was very exciting and I felt a lot for Ruari, yet I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one in the series (Brontide) and I think part of that is me missing seeing the fairy world through Corbet's eyes; filled with wonder and fascination for a universe new and unknown. It read more like a fairytale and felt somewhat more innocent and sincere, while in this one it was a little more doom and gloom, and well...cold. I really hope the third instalment will be more romantic and offer the two love birds some much needed downtime, maybe even new adventures above ground and under the sun! Either way I really like this series and can't wait to see more of it !!!
