I have read other works by this author and got something from them but this seems to go against any theory of conscious awareness that I have read. Possibly he is trying to be clever by recommending that people use the 1% technique and what you focus on becomes your reality but suggesting that God will like you more means suggesting that God is separate. kind of simplistic but comforting at the same time. the author makes a lot of good points, like the 1 percent idea, and the idea that having fun is part of God's purpose for our lives. Has an interesting theory about what God might think of worship as well.
The advice given is solid. I personally don't think that we have to get God to like us, but this point doesn't detract from the good advice given. Nice first ebook for Dr. Harrison.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It was well written, fun to read and thoughtful. The graphics made me smile. I like how it was a pretty straightforward concept that is pretty darn easy to remember.
Good little book
It Isn't a hokey religious book that promises you that you need to sacrifice yourself in order to help others or any of that. It is a very well written book on wisdom. You will certainly get something valuable from this reading.
I liked the part about showing God one is living a useful life in return for being here on earth and the Rules of Life. But disagree with the idea that we get God to like us so that he gives us nice rewards - extra blessings. In fact, suck up to God. I find that deeply disturbing. It seems to muss the whole point of life.
